Description

The West End Museum, located in Boston's West End neighborhood, shares the history and culture of the West End through the collection and preservation of artifacts and stories. The West End Museum is dedicated to telling the stories of the neighborhood's continual change, from the time it served as home to many free Black citizens after the American Revolution, to its immigration era, to urban renewal in the 1950s. The West End Museum is dedicated to telling the story of Boston’s West End neighborhood by "providing a space for past and present residents and the community, " as well as "educating the public in history and urbanization and preserving its material history and culture. The Museum seeks to challenge citizens to take an active role in shaping their communities."
